Rimini, 04 April 2024 . There´s great excitement in the world of live entertainment for the fast-approaching return of MIR . Live Entertainment Show, the event that captures the attention of industry professionals and afficionados. Running from April 7 to 9 at Rimini Expo Centre, the seventh edition of this expo organized by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) promises a high turnover of attendees thanks to the consolidated partnership with Live You Play.

AUDIO, VIDEO AND LIGHTING: AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
This year, the demo areas are set to be among the most interesting and immersive highlights of the event, offering visitors a unique experience. The centre of attention will be two stages kitted out with the latest technologies and equipment provided by the industry´s leading companies, transforming the backstage into an authentic stage. Participants can attend live shows featuring innovations in the audio, video and lighting fields with a programme of 42 events spread over the three days.

FUTURE TECH ON THE LIVE YOU PLAY STAGES
The show is an unmissable opportunity for Live You Play, a format dedicated to professionals raring to check out the performance of new equipment in their natural environment: on stage. Confirmed exhibitors include prestigious names such as Audio Link, Exhibo, Joint Rent, Link, Nexo, Prase, Rm Multimedia, Sisme, Wharfedale Pro, Yamaha and Zzipp Group.
Pavilion C1 will host ´Live System Contest´ on a 36-metre-wide robotic stage, where you can watch the performance of six audio systems in continuous rotation, all positioned in the same area. This stage will also be the setting for performances by three lighting brands, deploying over 200 projectors, under the expert guidance of lighting designer, Massimo Tomasino. Pavilion C3 will host the ´Contest Mixer´, where visitors can make a direct comparison between various audio mixers, using a single Point Source audio system. Andrea Corsellini, Vasco Rossi´s historic sound engineer, will lead the operations on this stage. The live shows will feature the bands Absolute5 and The Wall, ready to set the two stages on fire and demonstrate the potential of the next gen technologies.

ALL-ROUND AUDIO WITH IMMERSIVE ROOMS
Innovation and cutting-edge tech at MIR go above and beyond expectations. This year, for the third time, the event stands out for the highly anticipated return of the Immersive Rooms, representing a journey into the future of audio, an exploration of a multidimensional approach that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of stereo sound and surround, to immerse yourself in a reality where the audio embraces and involves the listener in an unprecedented experience. Now a permanent fixture at MIR, the 4 dedicated demo rooms offer visitors the unique opportunity to experience immersive sound firsthand. These soundstage areas are designed to place the listener at the centre of a 360-degree auditory experience, demonstrating the limitless potential of immersive audio. During the event, the rooms will alternate in an intense programme which includes a total of 13 sessions per day. Each session is a dive into the heart of audio innovation where participants have unique experiences and appreciate new dimensions of sound.

CONTEST COLONNE, THE VERTICAL DEVELOPMENT OF SOUND
The audio experience at MIR isn´t limited to the Immersive Rooms. Once again, under the majestic ´dome´ of the south hall, the renowned ´Contest Colonne´ project makes its return. This initiative is another one of a kind happening and is dedicated to vertical sound diffusion systems, elevated on stands or columns of varying sizes. The special, carefully designed setup provides high-quality comparative listening, offering participants the opportunity to compare different sound systems, all positioned at the same distance from the listener with the same audio programme playing. This setup ensures an unbiased, high-fidelity listening experience, allowing visitors to evaluate audio performance under optimal conditions.
